Review for the midterm
The exam is on paper, no notes. Each module walks you through one skill the way I would at the whiteboard in office hours. I show you a picture, ask you what changed, and then you write the line of code that makes the change. Work at your own pace. Your progress is saved on this device.
A variable like head holds an arrow to a node. It is easy to picture the node sitting inside head, but head only holds the arrow, and the node is somewhere else. Once you can see the arrows, a linked list is boxes and arrows that you move in order. Draw the picture before you write the code. You will draw these same pictures in CSCD 300 for recursion and for trees.
Start with Linked Lists. It is worth the most on the exam.

Want a blank board to try your own list on? Open the Linked List Sandbox. Draw a before and after, strike the old arrows, and write the code, the same way you will on the exam.
